
The Criminal Court of Kosovo sentences former socialist MP and former secretary of the Ministry of Environment Alqi Bllako to 4 years in prison.
Upon application of summary judgment, the sentence is reduced to 2 years and 8 months.
Alqi Bllako was convicted of committing the criminal offense of "passive corruption of high-ranking state officials and local elected officials, in connection with the Tirana incinerator case, while he was separated from the rest of the accused persons due to the accusation.
According to SPAK, Bllako received around 120 thousand euros as payment for his father, Edmond Bllako's wine machinery.
The investigations into the former Socialist Party MP were concluded on November 17 of last year by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office.
