One of the protesting students, Sardi Xibri, has sued Prime Minister Rama for defamation.

The latter accused Xibri today of being a person with a criminal record in the field of narcotics. In a video message, Xibri and his lawyer Altin Goxhaj showed evidence of Xibri's criminal record, which shows that he has not been previously convicted of any criminal offense.

Goxhaj said in the video that more defamation lawsuits will follow against Rama, and each of the three could cost the head of government up to 30 million old lekë.
