MEP Anna Strolenberg has reacted to the warnings that, according to her, have been made to Albanian citizens regarding participation in protests against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Through a public message, Strolenberg has rejected the claim that citizens who participate in the protests may be banned from entering European Union countries, describing this information as false.

The MEP stressed that she had been informed of warnings attributed to Prime Minister Rama, according to which participation in the protests could have consequences for the movement of citizens towards the EU.

"I have been told that Albanians are being warned by Edi Rama that if they participate in the protests, they will be denied entry into the EU. This claim is FALSE!", declared Strolenberg.

She called on Albanians not to be influenced by such warnings and not to give up exercising their right to peaceful assembly.

"Please do not let false allegations discourage you from exercising your right to peaceful assembly. I know these are difficult and worrying times. Take care of yourselves!", the MEP concluded.
