Today at 10:00 AM, the Ethics Secretariat in the Parliament will meet online to review the request of a group of Socialist Party deputies for the expulsion of 20 Democratic deputies, following tensions in yesterday's session in Parliament.

For the deputies who led the physical attacks, Noka, Këlliçi, Paloka, Kreka, Boçi and Xhaferri, the SP is requesting a 2-month suspension from the Assembly, while for the 14 deputies who blocked the podium, a 10-day suspension is requested.

Flamur Noka physically attacked the Speaker of Parliament Niko Peleshi and the head of the SP Group, Taulant Balla, while the Democratic MP Fidel Kreka attacked former minister Ervin Hoxha with the voting block.

"Also, MPs Belind Kelliçi, Besart Xhaferri, Edi Paloka, Fidel Kreka, Luçiano Boçi, insulted and hit Socialist Party MPs with water bottles. As can be seen from the video footage, MPs Ervin Hoxha, Arkend Balla, Fadil Nasufi, Agron Malaj, Bujar Rexha, etc. were attacked and insulted by these MPs during the voting process," the SP's request for Ethics states.

For the remaining 14, only 10 days of exclusion are required, as their role was limited to blocking the podium:

Deputies Gjin Gjoni, Bardh Spahia, Albana Vokshi, Elda Hoti, Xhelal Mziu, Gent Strazimiri, Enno Bozdo, Kastriot Piroli, Kliti Hoti, Flamur Hoxha, Arjan Ndoja, Ivi Kaso, Zija Ismaili, Blendi Himçi have participated in blocking the rostrum, preventing the regular conduct of the plenary session.

We recall that despite strong clashes, in yesterday's plenary session, 6 draft laws on the agenda and 3 draft decisions were voted on, including the establishment of the Special Committee for the second phase of the Territorial Reform.
