The Mayor of Mati submits his resignation to the City Council.

Mayor Mat Agron Malaj has submitted his resignation to the Municipality, to become part of the May 11 race.

Malaj has informed the Municipal Council of his resignation, while the council has announced an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday to elect one of the deputy mayors to lead the municipality until new local elections.

The Socialist Party is expected to make its candidates official on Wednesday. Meanwhile, for the Dibër Region, Blendi Klosi, the Chairwoman of the Regional Council Alma Selami, the Mayor of Mati, Agron Malaj, the Director of the Dibër Cadastre Agency, Danjel Gjura, Murat Dani, and the Director of the Dibër Regional Hospital, Ruzhdi Deda, are currently being discussed.
