While being transported to the hospital by ambulance, a 30-year-old woman from Përmet dies

A tragic event has occurred in the city of Përmet.

A 30-year-old woman lost her life yesterday afternoon (March 10) in causes and circumstances that are being investigated by the Gjirokastra police.

The incident occurred while the patient MH, during transportation by ambulance to the Gjirokastra hospital, lost her life. The victim is from the village of Piskovë in Përmet and her family had requested hospital assistance. Unfortunately, even though the white T-shirts went by ambulance, the young woman did not manage to survive.

"From the preliminary examination of the body of this citizen, no visible signs of violence or other injuries were found. A special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify and document the circumstances of the case," the police said, but without providing details about the possible causes.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, for further action, while family members are being questioned and the completion of the forensic examination is awaited.
