Sentenced to one year in prison, the Supreme Court decides today the fate of Ervin Salianj

The Supreme Court will today make a decision on former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji, who challenged the decision of December 18, 2019, of the Criminal Court that sentenced the former MP to 1 year in prison.

The session will begin at 10:00 and the decision on the Democrat will be made in the deliberation room.

We recall that on October 15, 2024, the Supreme Court rejected a request by former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji to suspend the 1-year prison sentence by the Appeals Court.

On September 26, the Court of Appeals decided to uphold the 1-year prison sentence for the criminal offense of false reporting for Salianji, while the latter called the trial a set-up and described himself as a political prisoner.
