
Due to the heavy rain that has affected our entire country, navigation in Vlora has been banned for some vessels for today and tomorrow (March 11 and 12).
According to an official announcement, small sailing and fishing vessels will not be allowed to sail. Meanwhile, it is announced that ferries will continue to operate normally to their respective destinations.
The Vlora-Brindisi-Vlora ferry will arrive at the port of Vlora at 1:00 PM.
An improvement in weather conditions is expected later during the evening hours tomorrow.

Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the Bay of Vlora, during the dates 11-12.03.2025 starting from 02:00 on 11.03.2025 in the South-South-East direction at a force of up to 6-7bft with wind speeds up to 15-20m/s and wave heights from 1.50 to 2.50 meters.
In order to prevent any unexpected situation due to weather conditions, we request the cooperation of all entities operating in the maritime field, to take all necessary measures to secure vessels in the port and increase the readiness of the crew on board vessels.
1. The issuance of a launch permit for small floating and fishing vessels operating in the open sea is prohibited starting at 02:00 on 11.03.2025.
2. All drivers of small vessels and fishing vessels operating in and outside the Bay of Vlora should take into account the hydrometeorological conditions and take measures to ensure their safety.
3. International maritime transport ships will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations, the ferry on the Vlora-Brindisi-Vlora line will arrive at the port of Vlora at 1:00 PM.
4. The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation for small vessels and fishing vessels will be after 08:00 on 12.03.2025.
