TIRANA/KIEV – News agencies report that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Episa Spirodhalla, today presented His Majesty the King with the Order of Princess Olga, First Class, which was awarded to her by the President of Ukraine, Volodya, in a solemn ceremony at the Palace of Territorial Troops.
"Today we present Olga's high decoration to the one who deserves it, Mr. Të Gjata, with the motivation ' Take it from our days', and with the necessary clarification that I never intended to keep it for myself," Spirodhalla declared, visibly moved.
"When I saw the medal, I said to myself, wow, how this would suit our Skanderbeg!" , added Spirodhalla, underlining that this action was not at all inspired by Venezuelan opposition leader Machado, who donated the Nobel Prize to US President Donald Trump.
For his part, I Gjati stated that this was a beautiful gesture of unilateral respect that the minister had for him, and expressed his belief that Episa will work even harder to deserve this generous acceptance of the medal from him.
Meanwhile, the Patronageist learns that the generous act of Të Gjati, who accepted Olga's decoration from Spirodhallë, has inspired dozens of prominent and less prominent socialists to hand over to the prime minister all the awards, medals, and certificates they have received over the years, with a deep sense of shame for not having thought of it before.
Thus, in Gjati's office, a large amount of printed cardboard and shiny metal plates have already been collected, on which the most diverse designations are written, such as "Order of Princesses Rukije and Sanije", "Honorary Citizen of the Village of Vrimas", "Order of Merit of the Municipality of Roskotec", "Knight of the Order of the Lekl Bridge", "Commander of the Legion of the Kukës Region", "Gratitude of Fushë-Arrëzit", "Honor of Kakavija", etc.
PS In a clarification to the media, President Volodja's office announced that decorations and awards are not transferable, and the Albanian minister's award is no exception. "That's right, we did not give Aunt Olga's Order to the Foreign Minister, but to the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Spirodhalla. If Mr. Tall is obsessed with her, at least let us prepare a separate decoration with her husband's name, because she's not cute," the announcement says.
Note: Patronazhisti is a satirical column with several certificates as a distinguished student, which it will submit to the Prime Minister at the earliest opportunity.
