Gjithashtu, inspektorët e AKM-së evidentuan se firma koncesionare nuk kishte menaxhuar mirë skorjet e ferrokromit.

Vend depozitimi i tyre ishte i pa izoluar, pa rrethim dhe pa asnjë kanalizim mbrojtës. Madje, ishin lënë në kontakt me shiun dhe në qiell të hapur. Ujërat e ndotur që gjenerohen nga procesi rridhnin jashtë çdo kontrolli, thithen nga toka dhe helmojnë basenet e ujërave nëntokësore në Papër.

Raporti vijonte se thithja e pluhurit dhe konsumi i ujit të ndotur shkaktojnë direkt kancer të mushkërive, si dhe rritin ndjeshëm rrezikun për kancer të stomakut, mëlçisë dhe veshkave. Përveç rrezikut tumoral, ekspozimi i vazhdueshëm ndaj këtyre mbetjeve shkakton dëmtime të rënda të rrugëve respiratore, si bronkit kronik dhe fibroza të pakthyeshme, si dhe mbart veti mutagjene që dëmtojnë direkt ADN-në, duke shfaqur rreziqe serioze riprodhuese për gratë shtatzëna.

Agjencia e Mjedisit kishte konstatuar se brenda rrethimit të uzinës, firma Albchrome ka operuar në mënyrë të fshehtë me një stacion të tërë karburanti, pa e deklaruar dhe pa e përfshirë në lejen e mjedisit.

Dokumentet që ka hulumtuara nga redaksia jonë hedhin dritë mbi skandalet e radhës me koncesionet, duke qenë se kompania që ka marrë në menaxhim minierat dhe fabrikat bën bilance tepër të dyshimta, madje gjatë dy viteve të fundit që ka raportuar, ajo i ka nxjerrë me humbje, në shifra të mëdha.
