Greek police have identified the person injured yesterday evening in Athens, while also arresting two suspects.
The injured person was Helis Çato , 38 years old, a resident of neighborhood no. 1 of Saranda.
He is a wanted person by the Greek police, after a crackdown on a criminal cocaine trafficking group in June of this year, in an operation where firearms were also seized.
In June, 9 people were arrested by Greek special forces and 4 others were declared wanted, including Cato. This is a total of 11 Albanians and 3 Greeks.
Meanwhile, regarding the incident that occurred last night, the Greek police have managed to arrest 2 citizens, specifically two minors, Albanian Flavio Keqi, 16, and Greek Ioannis Karikis, 16.
They were reportedly in the company of the victim at the time of the incident and then attempted to leave, for which they were arrested for "disobeying a police order."
Meanwhile, it still remains unclear who was the author of the attempted murder.
Yesterday evening, they are suspected of having opened fire twice on 38-year-old Çato, near the church in the "Kolono" neighborhood of Athens.
After being hit by a bullet, Çato managed to walk to his vehicle, which was parked about 150 meters away, where he was found by police. He is reportedly in serious condition in hospital.
