AMP arrests a citizen in flagrante delicto and prosecutes two police officers in Elbasan

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan-Korça Region) after a several-month investigation conducted with special methods under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Elbasan Court, arrested citizen FD, 25 years old, in flagrante delicto, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", "Hiding income", "Practising an illegal or unregistered commercial activity with tax authorities, etc.", "Organising or carrying out gambling activities in violation of the law" and "Making premises available for illegal games", while the police officers (brother and father) were also proceeded with at large for "Abuse of duty";

1. Inspector GD, 28 years old, on duty as a General Patrol officer at the Përrenjas Police Station

2. Inspector HD, 63 years old, serving as a General Patrol officer at the Peqin Police Station.

The arrest of citizen FD was carried out after an inspection of the family-owned Bar Kafe business, which turned out to be unlicensed, provided evidence and facts that they had adapted the premises of this business for the illegal organization of gambling.

From the control exercised at the Bar Kafe business, a knife-type weapon, a mobile phone, as well as the monetary amounts of 612,700 lek and 550 euros gained from this illegal activity were seized.
