Two Albanians jumped into the Vesdre River from a building located at 16B rue du Prince in Verviers, Belgium to escape police.

The two Albanians jumped out of a window to escape a federal police raid aimed at dismantling a cannabis plantation.

Civil defense officers also intervened to remove the organization's plants.

“As part of a case under investigation, the federal judicial police of Liège discovered the remains of a plantation in a hangar on the rue de Droixhe in Liège and a marijuana plantation with approximately 1,000 plants, in a warehouse on the rue du Prince in Verviers, where two individuals of Albanian nationality threw themselves into the river ,” the Liège public prosecutor’s office said. “An individual of Albanian nationality was on the rue de Droixhe, where he was busy cleaning up the remains of the plantation.”

In total, 5 people were arrested during the operation.
