Chaos in the Assembly / The President has repeatedly underlined the concerns of
President Bajram Begaj

Today, President Bajram Begaj addressed the deputies of the Assembly in a message on the occasion of the start of the new parliamentary session, where he called on them to find a common language and normalize parliamentary life in the country.

However, opposition deputy Gazment Bardhi accused the head of state of not addressing the political crisis that has already paralyzed the normal functioning of the parliament for several months. According to Bardhi, the opposition is being denied its constitutional rights, so Begaj should also emphasize this problem.

In fact, President Begaj has addressed this concern raised by the opposition several times. At every start of the parliamentary session, Begaj has addressed the political parties, asking them to become part of the constructive dialogue, to cooperate to implement important reforms, but also by addressing social problems such as the departure of the youth, or the security concerns brought about by the aggression Russian in Ukraine.

Starting from 2022, in the parliamentary session of 2023 and so on, President Begaj has constantly emphasized the importance of parliamentary dialogue, so that the Assembly is the place where there is an exchange of ideas and constructive discussions between the position and the opposition.

Even today, contrary to what Bardhi claims, President Begaj's message had at its center to emphasize the importance of the need for an opposition that, with its voice, faces its arguments in debates with ideas and arguments.

The new parliamentary session started again today with the chaos caused by the deputies of the former prime minister Sali Berisha's group, who blocked the floor and opened the door loudly, causing the majority to quickly approve the issues of the day and declare the session closed.

President Bajram Begaj was expected to speak in today's session, while foreign diplomats and ambassadors in Tirana were also present, among them those of the United Kingdom and Germany.
