The Energy Regulatory Authority, headed by Petrit Ahmeti, opened a tender procedure a few days ago to hold an official dinner. A restaurant was required to host an event, in collaboration with ERE and some Italians.

The documents state that the procedure is of small value, under 10 thousand euros, while its object was "the organization of 1 official dinner for 35 people". Normally, such tenders are being avoided by state institutions, at least to provide food for their employees. But, when there are international collaborations, they are not spared.

The documents that VoxNews has researched state that the development date will be April 1, 2025 at 9:00 AM.

"On April 8, 2025, the Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE) in cooperation with the Energy Regulatory Authority for Italy (ARERA), will organize in Tirana the 11th Seminar of the Balkan Energy School (BES) on the Regulation of Natural Gas Markets. As part of this organization, on April 7, 2025, the Energy Regulatory Authority will offer 1 official dinner. The number of people participating in this dinner is 35, with representatives and invited Heads of Regulators, members of BES and representatives from the Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE)" these documents state.

According to them, the dinner will be organized on April 7, 2025, after 7:00 p.m. "The economic operator must have the necessary environment (restaurant) for organizing the official dinner, with the appropriate capacity for this number of people (35 people). Due to the participation in this dinner of high-level representatives from different countries, the restaurant must offer a special environment that is suitable for holding official dinners (for business purposes)," the document states.

But look at what pearls Ahmeti or his subordinates write! "The location of the environment (restaurant) for organizing the official dinner must be no further than 200 m from the Sky Hotel (Sky Tower), where representatives of ARERA and other regulatory member countries of BES will be accommodated," the documents state.

Ahmeti writes that the employees are accommodated at the “Sky Tower”, owned by Lad Kosta, a former Socialist Party MP. On the upper floors of the hotel, Mr. Kosta has a restaurant and the specifications required to be “no further than 200 m”, clearly favor the “Sky Tower”. Even the restaurant at Parku Rinia is over 200 meters away, as well as at the Twin Towers or other “suitable” places. It seems that this requirement, the distance of the restaurant, is the “criterion that predetermines the winner”!

But what will these statesmen consume?

According to the document, the dinner menu should be varied and include 1 antipasti dish. It should have a first course, a second course of meat or fish, a salad, dessert, fruit, and alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and water.
