All those accused in the Tirana incinerator case have denied the charges brought by SPAK.

In the GJKKO session, most of them spoke themselves in the session, claiming that they only performed their duty and implemented the law. Among them, the former General Secretary of the Ministry of Environment Alqi Blako, in his defense, claimed that he has an invoice for the purchase of the beer machine worth 119,755.

"I bought it personally in the Czech Republic. I have receipts that I can make available to you. I have not benefited from such purchases from Klodian Zoto", said Blako.

Regarding the employment of Vladimir Bezhani, Alqi Blako said:

 "It is a legal contract with the private sector. Neither by regulation nor by law is it prohibited. He is one of the three best experts in the country regarding waste treatment studies. The salary of the employed person is legal, as long as it is legal there is no reason to file charges".

As for the communications of some of the officials with Klodian Zoto or employees of his company, the accused have claimed that in the case of unsolicited offers there should be communication, talks and contacts between the firm that has shown interest and the contractors.

While Lefter Koka stated that on political charges, he is in prison today, while the other detainees are "because of him", before justice.

"I apologize to all the staff if they are here because of me. They have done the best they could. The accusations were raised on the basis of political and media opinion. I am a victim of Saliu and the small party. Condolences to all of you (persons who have been accused in the files he is a part of)", said Koka.
