An Albanian lost his life in a tragic accident, recorded around 21:45 yesterday evening in Salerno, Italy.
The media across the Adriatic report that the victim is the citizen Albert K. 42 years old, who was hit by a car while he was near the toll booths on the A30 Caserta-Salerno highway, going towards Caserta.
According to RTA Live, the 42-year-old was crossing the highway on foot when he was hit by a car with Bulgarian license plates, and the force of the collision ended up first on the car's windshield, and then on the metal road divider.
Despite the immediate emergency intervention, the Albanian could not survive his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the car that hit him was injured due to the broken glass. Police closed part of the highway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident and clear the road.
Therefore, it is also known that the Albanian Albert K. was known to the law enforcement forces as he had previous criminal records. Yesterday evening he committed a robbery in a house in San Valentino Torio, in the province of Salerno.
For this reason, the police have raised two hypotheses about the accident. The 42-year-old was either escaping on foot across the highway, or going to meet associates at a predetermined location. Both tracks are being investigated by Nola Sub-Divisional Traffic Police.
