Residents of the village of Lumas in the municipality of Kuçova have returned to protests to protect the natural source of Sinec. They gathered today on the road leading to Sinec and blocked the road in order to prevent the continuation of the works of the Salillari company.

Residents have been in court proceedings with the firm for a long time because the Salillari firm has violated the contract and has continued the works in a "protected area", such as the mouth of the Sinec source.

But still before the court has spoken, the firm has restarted the works in the area, where it has again taken the pipes to lay them in the source area. This has greatly irritated the residents of the area, who have been protesting for 3 days to obstruct the works of the company, clashing with the police.

Residents say that the company should not have started the works since the work permit has expired and this permit has not been renewed by it. According to the residents, the company has been working without any permission for several days and under the protection of the state police, which as always is supporting Salillar for the continuation of the works and is preventing the residents from approaching the workers to hinder their work.

Residents have stated that the police have violated them again, men and women, by shooting, insulting and dragging them. Residents say that the company is again approaching the "protected area" of the source of Sinec, where it intends to lay pipelines in its mouth. The inhabitants claim that they will protect it as they have always protected the source of Sinec and will not allow any company to damage or destroy it.

The lawyer of the residents, Arben Llangozi, has stated that the company's works are illegal, but despite this, the company is getting the support of the police, who are protecting them during the continuation of the works. According to lawyer Llangozi, the chief of the police station of Kuçova is a servant of Salillar, once also his employee. He has accused the chief of the police station of Kuçova as a person with a person implicated in the crime, accused of planting Hashashi in Permet.
