Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha held a conversation with citizens today, October 25.
Commenting on last night's protest in Tirana, Berisha stressed that there is no terror that can defeat the youth and citizens.
"Dear citizens, yesterday was the culmination of the 12-day revolt of Tirana's students and high school students, but the truth is that universities and high schools in several districts of the country were also involved in their strike. I said yesterday was a day in which citizens triumphed, students triumphed.
The students triumphed because they proved to Albanians, but also to the entire international community, that there is no violence, no terror, no threat that can defeat them. That they are determined to defend their cause at all costs against a narco-dictator and the institutions of the narco-state that forces them, through theft and crime, to leave Albania.
There have been many protests from 1990 to today in the streets and squares of Tirana, but I can tell you that this is the most patriotic protest. This is the call that comes from national identity, that comes from the soul, the heart of those thousands and thousands of boys and girls who tell us that we must make Albania.
That with their protest they tell us that we do not want this country to be emptied. That they tell us that we want to build our beautiful dreams on our land. So, this call at the most critical moments of the nation, our nation has never been in a more critical moment of the complete emptying of our country. Never in 10 years has our nation grown in average age 10 years like these 10 years.
"Never has our nation had such a dramatic decline in fertility, it has fallen to the fertility rate of 100 years ago at a time when Albania was less than 1 million. Never in 10 years has our nation lost 47 percent, maybe even more, of its inhabitants in Albania," Berisha said.
Further, Berisha emphasized that Rama acted the same way as Vučić, but that he has simply lost the battle with the youth.
The democratic leader accused Rama of leading a violent police state.
"Yesterday, violence and terror reached unprecedented levels. A young man, a star of the red and black fans, whom Edi Rama hates, as he hates everything Albanian, EV, 28 years old, graduated in journalism, from Elbasan but who worked in a private business, was shot in the eye, without taking any action, at a time when he was not taking any action, except for being with other citizens in protest.
Witnesses who were with him said he had also taken a shotgun. Criminals in paid uniforms, paid killers, shoot at citizens in protest.
AM, 31 years old, a peaceful citizen, took a bullet to the stomach, piercing his stomach. He underwent surgery and the rubber bullet was removed. The use of weapons with rubber bullets is only allowed in the lower limbs, and after the blessing of the Padron, who tells him that he has been lenient with his opponents, give the order, everyone heard it, do not spare them. How can you give such an order? You are the executioner. You will absolutely receive the most severe punishments for that order, you and those hired killers who shoot outside all legal conditions.
LB, a citizen who was shopping to buy vegetables and food for his family, is taken, beaten like an animal with shoes on his head from all sides, and beaten unconscious. He is 40 years old, with no connection to the protest.
Former prominent police officer, HB, was hit in the nose with a rubber bullet, is receiving treatment. He has never been there for violence. MPs, journalists have also been shot.
But what did yesterday's protest show? It showed that the students will win the battle, because the people are determined to protect their daughters and sons at any cost, because the citizens are determined to show the place to these bandits who protect the head of the most dangerous criminal organization in Albania and Europe, Edi Rama.
"The solidarity was extraordinary and will continue to be every day. Therefore, once again, I invite every democrat to stand by the students, with the students, in support of the students," declared the leader of the DP.
