Prime Minister Edi Rama issued a statement to the media today, making public the new legal package against urban violence and anarchy.

"We have the legal package of measures against violence and anarchy ready. Peaceful protest is protected, violence is punished and the damage is paid by the perpetrator. Personal liability, temporary restrictions, a package of 6 instruments, a normative act on compensation for small businesses, a special law on the repair of damages in small businesses, some changes to the law on gatherings, a special electronic registry for urban violators, a change to the code of ethics for teachers and some proposals for changes to the Criminal Code of Albania", he said.

"We will also extinguish this flame of unnatural disaster in the face of violent protesters," said Rama.
