Benz crosses lane and hits another car, driver escapes

An accident occurred on Tuesday evening on the Lushnje-Berat road near the village of Kasht-Bardhë. Two vehicles, a Volkswagen and a Mercedes Benz, were involved in a collision, fortunately without any injuries to the people traveling in both vehicles.

Traffic police have arrived at the scene to investigate the causes of the accident and normalize traffic on this road axis.

According to preliminary information, it is suspected that the Mercedes Benz vehicle coming from Lushnja towards Berat crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the Volkswagen vehicle.

After performing this maneuver, the Benz ended up on the other side, sliding into the iron divider. According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Meanwhile, the police have identified the driver of the vehicle and are conducting searches to find him.
