The Special Court has ordered the release from prison of the former administrator of Bankers Petroleum, Leonidha Çobo.

The decision was made by Judge Erjon Çela in this Tuesday's session, while the reasons presented by the defense for changing the security measure are still unknown.

A new measure of "house arrest" has been imposed on Çobos. He was arrested along with other Bankers officials, a total of 14 measures, issued by the Fier Prosecutor's Office after an investigation that revealed a fraudulent VAT scheme and tax evasion worth hundreds of millions of euros.

Subsequently, the Fier Prosecutor's Office declared incompetence and the file was transferred to SPAK.
