Italy has resumed deportation procedures for third-country nationals who are staying on its territory without the necessary documentation.

The first 10 people have been sheltered in the Gjadri center, in Albania.

Among the people allegedly involved in these procedures are individuals arrested for lack of a residence permit, as well as people suspected of having participated in violent protests.

Some of them are suspected of having been involved in acts of robbery and extortion in the cities of Milan and Turin. However, this information requires confirmation by the competent authorities.

They will be housed in the premises of the former military base in Gjadra, within the framework of the agreement between Italy and Albania on the management of immigration issues.

The persons will remain in this center until the completion of the relevant legal procedures, after which the process of returning to their countries of origin can continue, in accordance with the decisions of the competent authorities.
