The President of Ukraine has publicly thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama for Albania's support to Ukraine, including in the UN Security Council, where our country holds the presidency.
Zelensky shared a photo from the meeting with Rama, Ambassador Ferit Hoxha and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, shortly before the start of the meeting of the Security Council led by Albania.
Zelensky also announces that he and Rama have signed a joint statement on the support of Ukraine's membership in NATO.
"I met with Edi Rama to thank Albania for supporting Ukraine, including within the Security Council.
I am especially grateful to Albania for joining the G7 Declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine.
We also signed a joint statement on support for Ukraine's integration into NATO," Zelensky wrote on social networks.
President Zelensky has been invited to deliver his speech at the Security Council, while the Russian representative has accused a little earlier that the Presidency of Albania in the SC is violating practices by opposing the presence of the Ukrainian leader.
I meet with @EdiRamaal to thank Albania for supporting Ukraine, including within the UNSC.
