Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with the directors of Tirana high schools, spoke about the measures that need to be taken to stop the wave of violence and about the responsibility that parents of minors who burn and destroy must also take. He said that one option is to lower the age of criminal punishment, which is currently 18 years old.

"I constantly communicate with people on the phone and delegate it to ministers, and not to mention talking to those who come from protests. Let them come, let them tell me that I should leave, let them tell me that we have a better program than you, even though the people voted for you. Let's open this discussion, I am ready to listen to anyone, anywhere, anytime. With this (stone), not only is there no chance of imposing any kind of agenda, but there are two options, either to leave with quick feet or to face the law.

We are preparing a package for those who violate. Whoever violates will be pursued by the shadow of the state, which demands compensation one by one. The court, although in my opinion it left something to be desired, has considered all arrests lawful. Although in this case, the judges are complexed by the great pressure of this blind force. Even in cases of detention of minors, the court has issued a decision of parental supervision.

The parent has his own responsibility, although we are aware that in special social conditions parents need to be helped, but parents will be partly responsible for the damage caused by their children. There is no minor and he does not bear any responsibility. Lowering the age for criminal punishment is an aspect that we are studying, as Europe is doing, but this is an instrument of state power. We want to pursue the criminal aspect, of the family that has these children.

It is time to answer the question of how we will implement the ban on social networks for children up to 16 years old and how we will address this entire mass of aggressors who threaten and take away the peace and quiet of families through social networks. I know you should leave because you have more important things to do than listen to me here. You have all our solidarity and gratitude, when some educators consider this wave of violence as something similar to 1991.

I don't want to get into this, because with teachers it's a different topic and I want to say things face to face. Talk to teachers as much as possible, because this is something that was known since the time when hands were hidden under the feathers of flamingos that have come out openly today, but what challenges a country makes it stronger.

"The police deserve all the respect of everyone, because as all the facts show, not those who feed the people like the boulevard elite, it shows the self-restraint of the police under the rain of stones. Responding with water and gas under that kind of rain and reacting when the situation is impossible to contain, shows professionalism and restraint. Thank you and keep that diary, because it is very important", said Rama.
