Repeating the election for the mayor of Kukës will cost the state budget over 25 million ALL.
The head of the CEC stated that no additional money was requested in the CEC budget , as according to him "there are savings that enable the development of the judicial process without additional costs for the state budget".
"These elections will cost the state budget 25,457,496 ALL, it is not the additional money requested in the budget of the CEC, but in a management and reorganization of the budget that we have done, we found it necessary that no additional budget was needed after the elections On May 14, it results that there are savings that enable the development of the judicial process without additional costs for the state budget", said Celibashi.
KZAZ will be composed
In 37 VCs, 4 members belong to the SP, 2 members to the DP and 1 to the PL.
In 37 VC, the composition will be: 3 SP members, 3 PD members and 1 PL.
There are a total of 45,828 citizens with the right to vote, who went to the ballot boxes on Sunday to elect the mayor of Kukes. They will have only one ballot, where the only two candidates in the race will be listed.
Number 1 is held by Albert Halilaj of the Socialists, while number 2 is Emri Vata of the coalition " Bashke fitomen ".
The elections in Kukës take place after the scandal involving the former mayor Safet Gjici, just a few weeks after he won the May 14 elections. Gjici is currently in prison.
