A blind tool in the hands of the state party, Sali Berisha has called the Special Prosecutor's Office against crime and corruption, after its request for authorization from the assembly to tighten the security measure against it. Berisha accused SPAK of seeking to equate Albania with Putin's Russia, which has a convicted opposition leader, or with the junta of Myanmar. According to him, this is evidence of a narco-regime.

SPAK submitted the request for Berisha, the steps to arrest a deputy

"SPAK, a blind tool in the hands of the state party, Edi Rama. Implemented the order and in this context there is nothing new. The political prosecution requests authorization to arrest the opposition leader, requests authorization to equate Albania with Putin's Russia that has the opposition leader convicted, with the junta of Myanmar, Lukashenko and Uganda. This is evidence of what we have denounced every day, the bane dictatorship and a narco-regime established in Albania", said Berisha on A2 CNN.

Asked why he did not appear at SPAK, in order to avoid this tightening of security measures, Berisha emphasized that he defended the constitution.

"This shows the deeply political character that the prosecution does not ask for measures for what it accuses me of, but measures for the unconstitutional decision against me. Prosecutors of the court I denounced in their office wrote the constitution and took the power of the parliament. I did the best thing; I defended the constitution of my country".

He expressed his willingness to be investigated, but in this case the case was opened without an individual.

"I have sent to the parliament for the abrogation of any type of immunity for MPs and Rama rejected it categorically, but he agreed to pave the way for the justice bodies to investigate MPs whenever I was asked if you are ready to be investigated, how much times I'm ready I said. A case open for 3 years based on a false report. Sali Berisha is never called because a case was opened without an individual and in the end he is announced as a person under investigation without ever being questioned and as soon as he is announced, the measure of deprivation of liberty is taken against him for leaving the country".

Berisha refers to the constitution that no one is denied the right to go abroad.

"Yes, the constitution has an article 38 that guarantees this in the group of basic human rights and freedoms. This article assures citizens that the right came out. No one can be prevented from going abroad freely. This article considers the freedom to go abroad an essential part of human freedom. The MP cannot be arrested or deprived of his freedom in any way, nobody can be prevented from going abroad, it is personal freedom, and in the case of the MP, this freedom cannot be taken away".

Asked if the mass protests of the citizens will follow the SPAK movement that tightened the security measures demanding his arrest, the head of the Reestablishment DP, Sali Berisha, underlined that civil disobedience will start very soon throughout Albania, but not for this reason.

He described his issue with justice as personal and emphasized that he will accept the Parliament's decision, whatever it may be, but the real reason why Albanians will fill the squares is the violation of the rights of the opposition by Rama.

"No, today's decision of SKAP has nothing to do with it. It is a decision that I personally had denounced before. But their request to Parliament in one respect is one they can address. I have declared that I will implement the Parliament's decision that I had nothing personal in my position, I defended the constitutional power of the Albanian Parliament. Let the Parliament decide as it wants, I know, as Edi Rama tells him, he will decide. The biggest problem is taking the constitutional rights of the opposition. The constitutional right of the opposition in the Parliament with the appointment of its representatives by Edi Rama, with the blocking of the legislative initiative of the opposition deputies and the most serious blocking of the parliamentary commissions. For this, of course, the opposition will be invited and civil disobedience will spread not only in the Parliament but throughout the country. There is a not-so-distant fast deadline, but of course we see efficiency. We must have an efficient movement. This of the Parliament had extraordinary efficiency", he said in Berisha on A2 CNN.
