Protest

This Saturday marks the 12th day of the student protest , with a national rally called for today in the capital. 

This protest has been supported by teachers, doctors , and the small business union , while participation is also expected from students from the districts.

Also, the Independent Union of Art, Culture and Media of Albania has announced that it will join the national protest on October 24, in solidarity with students, youth and citizens.

Through a public call, the union invites its members, artists, and cultural and media workers to gather tomorrow at 11:00 in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

The announcement emphasizes that participation in the protest is related to civic responsibility for the future of the country, but also to the protection of employee rights.

 At 2:00 PM, student groups are expected to gather in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Mobilization for the national protest is also taking place outside Tirana. Students from the districts, who have been protesting in the cities where their universities are located during the week, are expected to travel to the capital today to join the rally.

Albanians from the diaspora will also gather in the square. Despite Prime Minister Edi Rama's calls for dialogue, protesters continue to insist on demanding his resignation.
