A few minutes ago, the court of Saranda ordered the security measure "Arrest in prison" for 36-year-old Sotir Çabiri, suspected of being the author of the explosive explosion of the hotel "Bizanti" in the early hours of Monday morning.
In front of the jury, Çabiri continued to maintain a negative attitude, stating that he was at the hotel to pick up something he had forgotten because he was going to England that same day, so he was filmed leaving the facility 3 minutes before the explosion.
However, the Court has assigned to him the security measure of "arrest in prison". Çabiri is expected to be transferred to Benca Prison. Meanwhile, IKMT inspectors arrived in Saranda today along with a hammer tool, to help clean up the scene where anti-explosive experts and those of the Saranda police have been for 4 days.
An unexploded tritol mold was also found at the scene, while experts continue to believe that the perpetrator used 50 kg of explosives for the explosion.
Sources even indicate that the largest amount was placed in the foundations of a warehouse on the ground floor of the hotel, while the rest was in the columns, and for this, holes were opened with an auger by the author.
Investigations are continuing intensively by the police and the prosecutor's office as it has not yet been fully established whether Çabiri is the real perpetrator and whether more than one person acted in the incident.
