CAREFUL! Administration: Individuals are defrauding businesses by posing as tax

Unauthorized persons are defrauding businesses by posing as tax employees. For this reason, the Tax Administration has published some distinguishing elements so that businesses do not fall prey to fraud.

Business owners should note that Tax employees can be identified by the badge, which contains the first name, last name, photo, job position and department name.

Also, from the work order signed by the head of the relevant Directorate and the distinctive uniforms with the inscription: Tax Administration.

The Tax Administration has called on taxpayers to be careful if they are faced with suspicious persons who do not have the elements as above and not to allow them to enter the business premises.

The Tax Administration has identified certain individuals who deceive businesses by presenting themselves as tax employees, although they are not employed in the structures of the Tax Administration.

We clarify to the taxpayers and the public opinion that the employees of the Tax Administration exercise their functional duties, in implementation of the tax legislation in force, being identified in subjects with the elements as follows:

Identification badge (First name/Surname/Photo/Job position/Name of Directorate)
Work order signed by the head of the relevant Directorate

The Tax Administration calls on all taxpayers to be careful if they are faced with suspicious persons who do not have the elements as cited above, to not allow them to enter the business premises and to report immediately to the communication channels of the Tax Administration:
