He killed his ex-wife, the prosecutor's office of Fier demands life

Fier's prosecutor's office requests life imprisonment for Elton (Bengaj) Meta, accused of murdering his ex-wife, 23-year-old Sabrina Bengaj.

The event took place on October 10, 2021 in the village of Zhupan in Fier. Meta is accused of criminal offenses: " murder due to family relations ", " unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition ", " actions contrary to the court's decision " and " disturbance of public peace ".

According to the prosecution's claim, life imprisonment is required for the criminal offense of "murder due to family relations"; 15 years in prison for carrying weapons without a permit", 2 years in prison for "actions contrary to the court's decision" and 1 year in prison for "disturbance of public peace".

We recall that on the evening of October 10, 2021, Elton Bengaj entered the apartment of his ex-wife's parents in the village of Zhupan in Fier with a Kalashnikov firearm in his hand.

After Sabrina's request to explain herself outside the apartment, so as not to disturb the family members, he shot his ex-wife several times in the back, for whom a protection order had been issued by the Court, and left on a motorcycle at high speed, where was later captured by the police after his father and the police demanded that he surrender.
