American Ambassador Yuri Kim was present today at the School of Magistrates, where the 25th anniversary of its creation was being celebrated.

The American official said that justice reform is not easy or quick, but it has begun to produce results. She said that we need to modernize and change as the challenges we are facing are very different from the past.

Yuri Kim:  True peace is the presence of justice. Today we mark a milestone of the democratic revolution in Albania. For these 24 years, the USA has stood by the Albanians and the work of the magistracy school. The reform in justice is not easy, fast or perfect, but it is giving results.

Each of you must deliver results. This school will also train other generations and it will be necessary to adopt changes and modernize it. The challenges we are facing now are different from what we have faced in the past.

All of us must improve and change by modernizing and adapting. Even graduate school would do that. Justice reform, whether here or in other institutions, must succeed for the benefit of Albanians and the future of Albanians.

I was thinking about what we do every morning, I hope you look in the mirror every morning before you go to work and you say to yourself I will be part of the reason why Albania will become better. Congratulations, never give up.
