The European Commission has approved the action plan of the Chinese platform Temu to correct breaches of the Digital Services Act (DSA), related to legal obligations for risk assessment, in particular for the spread of illegal products on its online marketplace.
The Chinese company will have four months to implement the measures outlined in the plan. They include controls on content moderation systems, recommendation algorithms and manipulative practices in publishing product announcements.
The plan will also be subject to external and independent verification.
The European Commission will monitor the implementation of the measures, after imposing a fine of 200 million euros on Temu in May 2026.
