Minister Krifa Fridca giving courage to the farmers of Berat

BERAT - The case of modern greenhouses in Drenovicë, Berat, recently made public by the media, can be called an example of an indisputable success of the Albanian government, specifically of programs for agriculture.

Greenhouses of Drenovica have the entire sale of the product guaranteed, and benefiting from the funds of the European Union through the HASHASH II and HASHASH III programs, they have expanded and mechanized their activity. The Minister of Agriculture, Krifa Fridca, recently visited this establishment in person, as part of a round of discussions with farmers on the reduction of VAT in agriculture.

One of the owners of the greenhouses, 33-year-old Geri Hashashllari, declared then that with the contracts he had concluded, his goods were sold directly on the streets and markets of the European Union. The demand was even increasing.

"Mrs. Minister, we have a problem, that of transportation, " Hashashllari would address Mrs. Fridca at that time, " I have invested in mules, but even the wild ones want to eat, then the costs of saddles, halters, etc. That's why I bought two more cars, which I modified the dashboard and the side doors for a safer transport. But I pay for oil at the market price, and not with a subsidy. I want financing, because even the presses that press the goods into one-kilo packages are obsolete".

Fridca promised him help, emphasizing in front of the cameras that Hashashllari was an example of a farmer who works in his country and does not choose the short way, emigration.

"This greenhouse has employed 95 women, who are paid... note: Fully 5 thousand new lek per day. I'm almost losing my mind to come and work here on the weekend," joked Fridca. Next, she added that 8 guards were hired, which means development and well-being for the entire area.

For his part, Hashashllari explained that as a farmer, he had to do other jobs.

"I, Madam Minister, pay two electricians part-time, because I need electricity for the water pumps and lights. I even have some local policemen on my payroll, " said the Beratas farmer, receiving praise from the minister.

He added that with the profits of the greenhouse, he took his son to study in Europe, where he stayed after graduation to work as a host and distributor of farm goods.

In conclusion, Fridca, through the cameras, called on all farmers to follow the example of Geri Hashashllari, but also of his colleagues in the area, such as Marin Huana, Hasho Shashaj, etc., who have deserved the funding of the ministry that she leads.

"The future is here, in Albania. Work and only work will bring us to light," declared Krifa Fridca.
