At the end of the investigations for corruption and money laundering against 10 officials; starting with former minister Lefter Koka and ending with businessmen Klodian Zoto and Stela Gugallja, SPAK insists that it is following the investigations on the evidence that was extracted from the computers seized in Klodian Zoto's apartment.

Which means that investigations are being carried out against the former minister Arben Ahmetaj who, according to these evidences made public by the journalist Adriatik Doçi, was paid several thousand euro trips to luxury hotels in several countries.

This fact is acknowledged in the announcement of the previous day distributed by SPAK.

But in the decision of the prosecutors who decided to set aside the investigations, it turns out that something like this is not true and that Arben Ahmetaj was neither investigated, nor questioned, nor summoned, and even that the computer data extracted by the scientific police is not being verified, just like announced SPAK.

In the decision available to Top Channel, it is stated that the division of acts is carried out for other persons under investigation, such as Ledjana Bojaxhi and Zamir Stefani, suspected of abuse of office, as well as for seven other persons and eight companies that are suspected of abusing the concealment of income and avoidance from taxes.

In fact, the investigation of the Elbasan incinerator registered since 2020 for allegations of abuse of office, corruption and money laundering culminated in December 2021 with judicial measures against Lefter Koka, Stela Gugalljas, Klodian Zoto, and the entities "Albtek Energy" and " Integrated Technology Services" Shpk, with partner and administrator Klodian Zoton.

From this decision and others that were taken afterwards, it is understood that the circumstances and facts that are mentioned in this verdict are the same as those that SPAK declares at the end of the investigations, confirming that the prosecutors did not perform any additional and minimal action apart from the request of the security measure of that time.

Which means that not only was the evidence from Zoto's computer being hidden not taken into account, but also that no attempt was made to question the senior official Arben Ahmetaj, who signed a series of documents during the concession.

But now Ahmetaj appears traveling and staying in luxury hotels that were paid for by the card of Klodian Zoto, one of the accused for the incinerators.

During the week, Arben Ahmetaj was reported directly by the journalist Adriatik Doçi, and together with him, the two prosecutors of the file, Eneid Nakuci and Klodian Braho, were denounced, for whom the ILD said that it could not intervene as long as the file was submitted to the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office. /TCH
