Ministry of Balluk, 100 mln damage to the budget in 9 months

At a time when the country is officially in a state of emergency for electricity supply, the Ministry of Energy, the Albanian Electric Power Corporation and the Transmission System Operator have wasted millions of euros with tenders only from January to September of this year.

There are at least 2 billion lek of damage caused to the state budget by the dubious tenders of KESH, OST and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy itself, which is subordinate to this sector.

The Supreme State Control has found six tenders with problems at KESh with a total damage of 1.6 billion lek, or 14 million euros. 60 million lek is the damage caused in a tender by the Transmission System Operator and another 130 million lek is damage caused by the tenders of the Ministry of Infrastructure itself.

If the damage caused by abuses in AlbPetrol, another sector dependent on Belinda Balluk, is added to these figures, the figure reaches over 12 billion lek, or more than 100 million euros.

In total, the damage caused to the state budget in the first 9 months of this year is 40 percent higher than all the damage recorded last year, or almost 1 billion euros, where 400 million euros are missing money. in the cash register.

Simply put, the damage caused by the Ministry of Infrastructure alone from the 147 institutions that the Supreme State Audit has audited in this 9-month period accounts for 10 percent of the total.

However, the figure of 100 million euros is nothing compared to the figures of the two concessions granted with 384 and 400 million euros for Lekaj-Fier and Thumanë-Kashar, while 7 new concessions with a total value of 1 billion euros are foreseen in the budget of next year for road PPPs.

The two concessions Lekaj-Fier and Thumanë-Kashar pass on the tracks of the current roads. With a few repairs and expansions, the winning companies will put up a beam and collect money from citizens for the next 35 years.

In the business plans submitted by the companies in each concession, the minimum profits are calculated at 1.3 billion euros.
