The perpetrator of the murder of 67-year-old Dod Mamli , who was executed yesterday evening with a firearm on the road to the village of Vilëz in Kurbin, has been identified.

As reported by the police, the suspected perpetrator is the citizen with the initials DT, while the cause of the murder of the 67-year-old is said to have been clashes between them over property issues.

After the incident, operational services and those of the National Security Force continued checks throughout the night to capture the suspected perpetrator, but due to the darkness, it was not possible to find him.

Kurbin police report:

Thanks to the rapid professional and investigative actions carried out at the scene, the Police identify and declare the suspected perpetrator of the firearm murder of the 67-year-old man wanted in the village of Vilëz, Zhejë, Kurbin.

Immediately after the notification received at around 18:00 on 24.02.2025, that a citizen had been shot dead in the village of Vilëz, Zhejë, Kurbin, the Police services went to the scene.

To investigate and clarify this event, a special investigative group was established, including specialists from the Serious Crimes Directorate of the Criminal Police Department of the State Police.

Four groups of the National Security Force, Shkodra Unit, went to assist the local police.

Thanks to the rapid investigative actions carried out by the investigative group, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, it was possible to identify the suspected perpetrator, citizen DT, who is suspected of having killed citizen DM with a pistol for property reasons.

Operational services and those of the National Security Force continued checks throughout the night to capture the suspected perpetrator, but due to the darkness, it was not possible to find him.

Police services continue to conduct checks throughout the area and other investigative actions are being carried out with the aim of locating, capturing and arresting the perpetrator and fully legally documenting the event.
