A serious incident shook the village of Vilëz in Kurbin this Monday, where 67-year-old Dodë Mamli was executed by gunfire near his apartment.

The victim was shot by unidentified individuals, and police have launched investigations into the incident.

Revenge?

Police suspect that revenge is one of the clues that may have led to the murder of 67-year-old Dodë Mamli.

The victim's two sons are currently in prison for a serious incident that occurred in 2015, in what was described as the Mamurras massacre.

Enrik Mamli, the victim's son, killed one person in 2015 in the center of Mamurras and injured 3 others.

The victim at that time was Naim Tafa, a quarrel that had started over an unpaid debt on the part of the victim.

As a result, Tom Mamli was sentenced to 33 years in prison, while Enrik (Elton) Mamli was sentenced to 26 years.

The 2015 incident where the sons of the 67-year-old man killed today are accused

On the afternoon of September 23, 2015, at around 11:30 a.m., Tom Mamli, Paulin Mamli, Enrik (Elton) Mamli beat and hit Dorjan Mamli with hard objects, after the latter had intervened to negotiate the conflict that Enrik Mamli had with Edmond Tafa, the son of Naim Tafa's uncle (the victim).

It is learned that the conflict between them had started in Italy over a debt of 250 thousand euros that Enrik Mamli had to Tafa for prostitution bills. During the fight in the bar, Dorjan Mamli was physically injured, having been hit with punches and hard objects by his cousins.

Meanwhile, when the Mamli brothers were leaving in their “Range Rover” with license plates AA 481 JT, they were hit by a “Benz” with license plates AA 077 CN in which Gentjan Elezi, Taulant Bebri (Arjan Tafa) and Naim Tafa were traveling. These people had been made aware of the conflict that had occurred in the bar.

After the vehicles collided, the people in both cars opened fire at each other, killing Naim Tafa, 35, and injuring Altin Çoku, 30; Idriz Tafa, 59; Taulant Bebri (Arjan Tafa), 26, and Besim Xhetani, 68.

At that time, the police reported that Elez Tafa, Besim Xhetani, and Altin Çoku were bystanders and had no connection to the incident in question.

After the massacre, the police arrested Enrik Mamli, Taulant Bebri (Arjan Tafa) and Dorjan Mamli. Meanwhile, Tom Mamli (the person who was later handcuffed after the incident), Paulin (Roland) Mamli and Gentjan Elezi (Tafa) were declared wanted.

12 bullet casings were seized at the scene, 11 of which were inside Enrik Mamli's car. This car was found abandoned by police, about 300 m from the scene of the crime in an attempt to flee. Police also seized a Model 56 7.62 mm automatic firearm, used by Enrik Mamli.
