The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, has warned of war, in case, as she said, the international community continues the same approach towards Serbia.
Gërvalla told the German public media, Deutschlandfunk, that Serbia wants to force Kosovo to negotiate on territorial issues in the dialogue.
"If the international community tolerates Serbia's actions, there will be war," she said. Serbia wants to create facts to force Kosovo to negotiate territorial issues in Brussels. Gërvalla says that the EU should raise the status of Serbia as a candidate country.
Gërvalla's statements come a week after the armed attack in the north, where a Kosovo policeman was killed and then the Police had to eliminate three terrorists. Now, NATO will increase its presence in Kosovo.
The President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani recently said that Serbia continues to have territorial claims against Kosovo.
The government in Belgrade is trying to implement a "Crimea model," she said, alluding to Russia's 2014 annexation of Ukraine.
