The Constitutional Court dismissed the appeal of Gjergj Cukali against the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime.
Known as the strongman of 'Myslym Shyri', he objected to his being sent for trial on charges of being a criminal group and the attempted assassination of citizen Gjon Mena with explosives.
"The decision of the special court has denied me the right to defense."
With this claim, Gjergj Cukali has turned to the Constitutional Court, objecting to the transfer of his file for trial by GJKKO at the request of SPAK for a series of charges, from premeditated murder with explosives, remaining in the attempt against the citizen Gjon Mena, group criminal and illegal possession of firearms.
Gjergj Cukali, known as the strongman of "Myslym Shyrit" and for the confrontations he had earlier with the justice system, has claimed that the sessions held in the Special Court have been interrupted several times due to the lack of defenders, denying the lawyers chosen the right to be familiar with the acts.
However, the constitutional court has decided to overturn the request as it does not meet the legal criteria by not passing it for consideration in the plenary session.
