Even in the "heart" of Tirana you have to be careful of robbers. At least 3 people have fallen prey to them during the last few days in "Skënderbej" square in the capital.

The police announce that they have put two young men in handcuffs, while another has been processed. The arrested persons are the citizens of KB, 20 years old and RB, 16 years old, both residents of Tirana, and the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office and the proceedings started in a free state for a 14-year-old.

According to the police, these people, threatening the citizens with knives and a fake pistol, had stolen their personal belongings. This has been invoiced for at least 3 cases.

" Threatening them with a cutting tool (knife) and a fake pistol, they stole personal belongings from different citizens, in "Skënderbej" square, and 2 citizens were caught and put in handcuffs.

A 14-year-old, suspected of being involved in these cases, is also being prosecuted.

Illegal items with which these citizens commit thefts, as well as stolen valuables, are seized.

Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Station No. 3, Tirana, following the work to combat illegalities, as well as as a result of the immediate follow-up of the information received on the operative route, for cases of theft in "Skënderbej" square, they organized and finalized the coded police operation "Saga".

As a result of this operation, the citizens KB, 20 years old, and RB, 16 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested red-handed, and the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, and the proceedings were started for a 14-year-old man.

The Police Services have arrested these citizens in the act, in "Skënderbej" square, after threatening them with cutting tools (knives) and a fake pistol, they had stolen the personal belongings of 3 citizens, during the last days.

As material evidence, a fake pistol, 2 cutting tools (knives), valuables, suspected stolen items and 3 mobile devices were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Tirana Judicial District Court for further action, " the Police announcement states.
