They imposed fines on businesses and threatened them with weapons , one person was arrested and another person was wanted.

Lezha Police and specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector finalized an operation to crack down on a criminal group that was blackmailing and fining businesses under armed threat.

Fatmir Kuqi , 48 years old, resident of the village of Shpërdhet, Kurbin, was arrested  . During the search of his apartment, 115 live ammunition, as well as 1 shotgun and ammunition for it, which were possessed without a permit, were found.

Under investigation are AS, 39 years old, a resident of Mamurras, as well as two minors, 15 and 16 years old, suspected of the criminal offense of "coercion by threat or violence for the release of property", committed in collaboration.

During the investigative actions, it was possible to find and seize two armored vehicles, which were used by these citizens to carry out the criminal activity of extortion by threatening to give up property.

From the investigations so far, it appears that these citizens imposed fines on businesses, exerting pressure and threatening them with weapons, with the aim of unjust financial gain .
