Other details have been revealed from the tragic event that occurred the day before in Shkodra where 34-year-old Kolë Manaj shot and wounded his 44-year-old cohabitant, Anila Prendushi Ndoka , and then killed himself.
One of the 34-year-old's relatives recently spoke about this event.
In an interview with News 24 , Kolë Manaj's family provided details regarding his cousin's relationship with Anila.
He claimed that the latter is his sister and that the couple has had conflicts with each other in recent weeks.
According to what this citizen stated, the 44-year-old had asked him to break up because he could not forgive her for something Kolë Manaj had done.
"There have been some conflicts recently but we thought everything would be fixed. They had been together for years and were very good people, I have her as a sister. I don't know if she will be saved or not, but I have her as a sister. I don't know, he just shouldn't have done anything because of what Anila did for his father. They didn't have any jealousy towards her at all. Kola was previously married for a very short time. I don't know what the problem was, but they had an argument and he apologized a lot but she didn't forgive him," he said.
Meanwhile, investigators have also uncovered several messages that the 34-year-old had sent to his partner before committing the extreme act.
One of the last messages, sent shortly before the event, also shows the serious psychological state that Manaj was in yesterday.
He had asked his partner of 5 years to meet, warning her that he would hurt himself if she didn't agree to go out. She responded by asking him not to do anything wrong and to come and pick her up at work.
After this conversation, Manaj showed up near Prendushi's workplace where she got into his car and then started an argument between them.
A debate that later ended tragically, after the 34-year-old shot Anila in the head and then shot himself in the head.
The latter died immediately at the scene, while the 44-year-old woman is in Shkodra Hospital fighting for her life.
Yesterday, it was announced that the 44-year-old would be transported to the Trauma Hospital for more specialized treatment, but doctors assessed that her condition did not allow for transportation.
