Police Station No. 4 continues the search for Ersi Cekan's brother, who was arrested the day before as part of the operation codenamed "Pretendimi".

The investigations began after a young man reported that he had been threatened by the Cekani family for an unpaid debt.

The young man said that Ersi Cekani and his two brothers (Arben and Ardi Cekani), the latter of whom is still wanted, have been threatening him for a long time, claiming that he owes them 30 thousand euros, an amount that is alleged to have been received in Spain. 

Following the investigation, the police are verifying the source of income of the Cekani family.

Preliminary information suggests that Ersi Cekani sent threatening messages to the young man, telling him that he would kill him if he did not repay his debt. He even followed and photographed the young man's apartment as a form of pressure. 

The incident culminated a day ago, when the three brothers from Librazhd, accompanied by three other people, showed up to threaten the young man again. After police intervention, Ersi Cekani was arrested, while one of the brothers was declared wanted.

The third, along with the three other people who accompanied him, were released on bail. According to the police, the three Cekani brothers have criminal records for illegal possession of weapons and various thefts.

In 20221, the Elbasan police arrested Ardi Cekani in the apartments of the Çapja clan, specifically in the house of Ardian Çapja, known as the strongman of Elbasan, sentenced to life imprisonment.

Journalist Artan Hoxha at the time knew that Cekani was employed as a guard by the 'Çapja' tribe. At the time of his arrest, a small amount of cannabis, 5 radios and several uniforms similar to those of the Police were found on him.
