A 56-year-old woman was arrested by the police in Tirana, after being accused of embezzling 8,850 euros through fraud.

The police say that the woman had asked for the money in the form of help, to equip the children of a 50-year-old woman with Bulgarian passports, but apparently she decided to keep the money for herself.

Police Notification:

She embezzled 8850 euros through fraud, the 56-year-old woman was put in handcuffs.

Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Section in cooperation with the Special Forces Sector for Special Operations and Research arrested the citizen L. Gj., 56 years old, resident in Tirana.

This citizen is suspected of having embezzled the amount of 8,850 euros through fraud, with the claim that she would help a 50-year-old citizen to fill out the necessary documents, to provide Bulgarian passports for her children.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further procedural actions.
