The police of Shkodra have rescued a person who tried to jump from the bridge into the Buna river, in the city of Shkodra.

According to the police, the 49-year-old man with the initials VN performed suspicious movements and tried to jump from the Bridge into the Buna River.

This person was accompanied to a psychiatric hospital, to receive the necessary medical assistance, as the verifications showed that he suffered from mental health.

Police Notification:

He tried to jump from the Bridge into the Buna River, to commit suicide, but the immediate intervention of the Road Traffic Patrol, which was on duty in the area, prevented the serious incident.

Today, on 23.08.2024, the Road Traffic Patrol, while patrolling the territory, found a citizen at the Buna Bridge who was making suspicious movements and trying to jump from the Bridge into the Buna River.

The Road Traffic Patrol of DVP Shkodër notified the "Shqiponja" forces and immediately went to the citizen who was trying to jump into the river.

As a result of the quick intervention, the incident was prevented and the 49-year-old V. N was taken to a psychiatric hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance, as the verifications showed that he was suffering from mental health.
