The Fier police received a report from a 45-year-old man, who was deceived on social networks, according to him, by a Turkish citizen.

He stated to the police that he was told by a profile on social networks that he was the beneficiary of an inheritance.

This has caused the 45-year-old man from Fieri to deposit a sum of money into the online fraudster's account, which has since disappeared.

Fier Police is working to verify this report and determine the authorship of the case.

"On 22.08.2024, citizen AG, 45 years old, a resident of Fier, reported to the Local Police Directorate of Fier that a citizen with a Turkish identity on social networks deceived him into giving him a sum of money, claiming that The 45-year-old was the beneficiary of an inheritance. We are working to verify this report and to determine the authorship of the case," the police announced.
