An assassination attempt with firearms has left one dead and another injured.

The serious event was recorded in the late hours of last evening in the area of ​​Milot, while two police officers were targeted.

EVENTS

It was around 21:20 minutes when unknown persons fired firearms in the direction of citizens Ylli Ibrahimi and Klisman Preçi. The shooting attack was recorded in the apartment of Ibrahimi, who was arrested earlier for drug trafficking.

After the shooting, the above two persons were injured and were urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, but one of them, citizen Klisman Preçi, could not survive his injuries, passing away on the way to hospital. Meanwhile, Ibrahimi also received several bullets, being seriously injured.

He is in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. The event was recorded in the town of Milot, at the entrance to the palace, where the 46-year-old Ibrahimi lives. It was a moving car that shot at them as soon as they got out of a "Range Rover" type vehicle.


CAR BURNING

As in other assassinations of this type, the assassins who took the life of the young man, burned the vehicle in which they went and then left the place where they committed the crime. The "Audi" brand vehicle was found burnt in the village of Gramëz in Kruja. Two Kalashnikov type firearms were also found inside the burning vehicle, with which the assassins committed the murder.

At least two people participated in the serious crime, the motives of which still remain a mystery. They were then picked up by another vehicle, leaving and thus losing their tracks.

"In Gramëz village, Krujë district, a vehicle was found burning, which is suspected to be the vehicle used by the perpetrator(s) to commit this criminal event. From the preliminary inspection, 2 Kalashnikov firearms were found inside it", explained the Police of Lezha.

TRACKS OF INVESTIGATION

Due to the past of the victims, the main track of the local Police in relation to the assassination is that of the washing of accounts and the conflicts that they have had abroad and which is suspected of drug trafficking issues. The victim and the injured have been targets of assassinations before but managed to survive.

The perpetrators did not leave any evidence at the scene, which means that the assassination was well-organized and it is suspected that they are hired killers. It is not known if last evening's assassination in Milot is related to the assassination that happened a few days ago in Fushë-Kruje, where Brilant Martinaj was among the three killed.

The perpetrators had accurate information about their movements and waited for the moment to get out of the vehicle to shoot with Kalashnikov firearms. The police have seized security cameras in the area in an attempt to identify the perpetrator.

It is suspected that the target of the attack was Ylli Ibrahimi, because the 45-year-old was walking near his apartment. Also, by the police forces of the Kurbin and Lezhë Police Stations, with the support of the groups of the FNSH Shkodër, the combing of the area is being done and checkpoints have been set up, with the aim of catching the perpetrator(s).

The police said that they have set up checkpoints on Rruga e Kombit, in the direction of Mati, Lezha, Tirana and Kruja.

For Ylli Ibrahimi, this is the second assassination in two years. Known as a close person of Bujar Lika, executed inside a hotel in the Mamurras area on May 31, 2020, Ylli Ibrahimi has had problems with justice from an early date.

Arrested and convicted in Italy for drug trafficking more than a decade ago, another assassination attempt was organized on him on January 13 of last year, but he managed to survive. The event remained without perpetrators to this day.

From the investigation of the assassination of more than a year ago, the investigators came to the conclusion that the two shooters left Tirana on a "Scooter" motorcycle in the direction of Milot, to execute Ylli Ibrahim.

In this serious criminal event, the perpetrators were well organized to carry out the assassination and it is suspected that more than two people participated, as there are doubts that Ibrahimi was kept under observation by two other people in the Milot area, who were reporting on the target's movements.

EVENTS

As soon as Ibrahimi sat down in a cafe in the area of ​​Milot, the informants showed his location and immediately the two people started towards the place on a motorcycle. Armed with a "Skorpions" machine gun, the group of shooters was seen for the first time on the cameras of the Rinas airport, traveling towards the area of ​​Fushë-Kruja.

Then, the cameras of the businesses spotted the motorcycle with the two people on the secondary road towards Milot, where they stayed in this area until a second warning, when Ylli Ibrahimi left the bar. They started moving as soon as they were informed that Ylli Ibrahimi had left the bar and was walking on the sidewalk.

They approached the target, who was in the company of two people, and shot at him 20 times with "Scorpions", where most of the bullets, a total of 7 pieces, were in the legs and none in the body.

He received numerous injuries, but he managed to escape, while the two people who were with him fortunately were not injured. Ibrahimi underwent surgery at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
