As 7 months of 2022 have not yet passed, so far 23 people have been killed in Albania, 10 of whom lost their lives in 8 mafia assassinations. While 13 others were killed for revenge or banal motives.

The eight mafia assassinations are still unsolved and without a perpetrator. The record is held by Tirana and Shkodra, each with 3 mafia-type murders that have remained without perpetrators even though months have passed. Specifically in Tirana, the murders of Erion Çela, Iljaz Cali and Aleksandër Sadikaj are unsolved. While in Shkodër, there are no perpetrators for the executions of Nazmi Bandula, Naim Bajri and Lulash Qepuri.

None in handcuffs either for the murder of Arben Merkuri or the triple murder of Fushë-Kruja. While the only ones that the Police has managed to arrest are the perpetrators of murders for trivial reasons where men have killed women, father-in-law has killed the daughter-in-law, or those of a blood feud nature.

As for the mafia assassination at the Fushë-Kruja crossing, when 5 days have passed, the Police still have no arrests or suspects for the incident. The only hope is in the security cameras or the last conversations the victims had with their family members and friends, since the phones of Brilant Martinaj, Besmir Hoxha and Diklen Vata were hacked.

The mafia assassinations of 2022 are mostly of the same nature, the perpetrators after shooting the victims in places mostly without security cameras, speed away, burn the vehicles that are mostly with stolen license plates, and disappear without a trace.

The murders in general cause insecurity among the citizens, and their non-whitewashing in particular increases their fear, with the police having failed either to prevent mafia murders among criminal groups, or to arrest the perpetrators of these crimes, writes Fax News.
