The founder of "Intermedica", doctor Vasil Llajo, enters politics, on the open list of the Socialist Party in Vlora

It was a surprise to see the name of the well-known doctor, Vasil Llajo, as the Socialist Party's candidate on the open list of the Vlora district for the May 11 elections. Llajo, who is also a successful businessman, was placed by the SP as the first on the list in his hometown, in the Saranda region.

After his success as a doctor and in the business field, Llajo now aims to repeat this success in the field of politics, to serve as closely as possible to the residents of Saranda.

But who is Vasil Llajo?

Born on November 24, 1956 in Saranda, Vasil Llajo studied at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Medicine and took his first steps as a doctor at the Saranda Hospital, then practiced his profession in Markat, Finiq and Delvina and from 1986-1992 at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center in Tirana, as the Head of Anesthesia-Reanimation in the Department of Neurosurgery.

Those who knew him closely say that Dr. Vasili, at every time and human moment, never forgot to be a careful, attentive, tireless doctor, to nurture a love for people and dedication to work with the will to be at the service of life, of those who saw him as the savior of life.

In the early 1990s, he began his journey to Greece with his wife, Anila. From 1992-1995, he practiced as an Anesthesiologist at the "KAT" Hospital in Athens, one of the largest trauma hospitals in Greece.

Vasil Llajo has built his life between Greece and Albania. In April 1995, he opened the first scanner examination center in Tirana, which enabled direct diagnosis, a revolution in patient diagnosis in Albania. In May 1996, he opened the Intermedica laboratory. Vasil Llajo, through the introduction of the first scanner in Albania, would begin a revolutionary process in Albanian healthcare. He became the initiator, after the installation of the first scanner in Albania, at the headquarters of Siemens (Germany), where medical equipment is produced, on the map projected in the hall dedicated to customers from all over the world, the red light for Albania would be turned on.

Now, not only an accomplished physician but also an excellent manager in the field of medical business, Dr. Llajo is the owner of the "Intermedica" clinic, whose network extends to dozens of branches throughout the country, where hundreds of specialized professionals work.

Vasil Llajo has never forgotten Saranda, where he is now running for MP.

Doctor Vasil Llajo was honored a year ago with a certificate of appreciation from the Municipality of Saranda, after making a valuable contribution to the renovation of the museum of the "Hasan Tahsini" high school in his hometown.

The founder of "Intermedica", Dr. Vasil Llajo, has never hidden his close connection to his hometown and the love he has for it.

In an interview given some time ago, he said that " the city of Saranda has shaped me as an individual, the educational structure of this city itself has been at high levels and the high school was among the most prominent in the Republic with many excellent students. Saranda was the cornerstone for me."
